What interested you about working as a designer at Westbury Garden Rooms?
Initially the product, I had known of Westbury as a high-end supplier within the industry for many years, I enjoy working with discerning clients which premium products attract, therefore Westbury was an ideal fit for me.

Could you tell us a little about your experience with Westbury so far?
My initial experience with Westbury came whilst running my own small business, fitting orangeries and conservatories manufactured to my design and specification, after meeting with Jonathan Hey, Westbury’s founder, he offered to manufacture them for me, it was a quick learning curve as to ‘how it should be done’, it really is the small details that make up the total sum, There are many conservatory manufacturers but very few of this standard. It is not only the end product in which Westbury excelled but the journey through the whole process, from drawing to delivery.

What do you hope you can bring to client’s homes by adding a Westbury Garden Room?
I particularly enjoy working with the layout of a home, how the space works and interacts with the rest of the house, so perhaps the ability to look to see the overall plan and to work out how to best deliver it. Improving how we live in our home is what I attempt to bring with the addition of a Westbury Garden Room.

What can people expect when you visit their homes?
Not quite sure how to answer this one! Initially after being offered coffee, I like to hear a quick brief from the clients of what they would like to achieve, have a look at the area we are to work with and then sit down around the kitchen table and talk about their options and aspirations.

Being open and honest, I will try to manage a client’s expectations, sometimes we may not have all the answer they are looking for, but I will always try my best to achieve the end goal of an amazing room.

What excites you most about working for Westbury?
The people you meet and seeing the dreams coming to fruition, with the resources available from the whole Westbury team it makes the job a very satisfying one.
