Orangery Extension and Loggia in Westbury Black
Balance, light and proportion are perfectly combined to create this beautiful dark-coloured orangery extension and loggia. Looking to add more space to their home, our client wanted to create a modern entertaining area at the rear of their property that would make their evening supper parties extra special.
Using our expertise, we designed an orangery extension that was specifically suited to informal dining, relaxing and family activities. Open and inviting, the spacious kitchen and dining room extension encourages friends and family to come together, creating a social hub within the home. We understand that even the smallest details can contribute to the overall feel of a room, so a subtle lighting scheme was included to help create an inviting atmosphere.
Contemporary windows provide excellent views from the orangery during the day and help the family feel more connected to the garden as the sun begins to set and dusk draws in. Continuously implementing the right solutions for each of our designs, we made allowances for the south-facing position of the orangery by using glass that reduces glare and keeping the temperature cooler. Added ventilation provisions help to ensure an airy and comfortable space.
French doors lead out from the orangery to an open-sided loggia which provides a shaded outdoor area ideal for dining alfresco whilst being sheltered from the summer sun. Darker colours tend to be avoided for joinery that will have high exposure to sunlight, as unlike lighter shades it absorbs the heat and results in unattractive peeling. However, our specially formulated low-gloss micro porous Westbury Black paint used in this project won’t peel, resulting in a striking exterior that will maintain its quality finish.
Our designers took inspiration from the existing architectural features of the property, resulting in a stylish and timeless extension with quality features and unrivalled details. Built to the highest of standards, this orangery will be enjoyed by the family for years to come.
