Oangery has created a new light, bright and airy living area

Edwardian Family Home Orangery

Open Gallery

This striking orangery sits perfectly to the back of a beautiful Edwardian family home.

Designed to create an open plan kitchen diner, the new living area is light, bright and airy. By working closely with the client, we used our expertise to enhance the flow of the room, establishing clear lines between the splendid Humphrey Munson kitchen and dining areas. Perfect for a growing family.

To ensure the new living space could be used all year round, we installed thermostatically controlled roof vents to the large lantern.

Inside, the substantial clerestory windows, finished in Westbury Silver Birch, give height to the ceilings, allowing light to flood in and give fabulous views of the owner’s beautifully landscaped garden.

While outside, the south facing orangery was painted in a modern Westbury Black. The benefits of building an orangery with materials such as Accoya®, allows our customers to choose colours that once could not have been a consideration. With Accoya®’s Class 1 durability and stability, our water-based, microporous, flexible paint system will not move or crack.

Our client was thrilled with their new orangery. The clean lines of the classic Westbury parapet design and the bold use of colour, truly complement the original Edwardian design features.

Our sister company, Westbury Windows and Joinery, supplied the casement and sash windows, as well as the entrance doors for this property. To find out more, click here
