Westbury Garden Rooms visits the Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour
The design centre at Chelsea Harbour provides the ideal environment for 105 showrooms and over 600 international interior brands
Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour is home to over 99 showrooms and some 500 of the worlds most prestigious brands. A byword for quality and taste, it brings together not only fabrics and wallcoverings, but also furniture, lighting, accessories, kitchens, bathrooms and much more.
It’s certainly a place to inspire – the Design Centre itself is a work of art. The £6m refurbishment scheme has brought natural life to the iconic glass dome structure. A recent aerial installation featuring black shoals of fish and leafy sea dragons was devised by landscape designer Jinny Blom. Graceful, yet aesthetically spectacular, it now sets a confident tone and contrasts brilliantly against the building’s white architecture.
Recognised as a voice of authority with design at its heart, Design Centre is home to London Design Week, where industry professionals, media and decision-makers flock twice a year for design inspiration.
Westbury Garden Rooms visited the Design Centre this week to meet with partners such as Turnstyle Handles, who have a new showroom there. A design led company, Turnstyle has a formidable reputation for producing some of the world’s most innovative and inspiring architectural hardware, and fits perfectly with Westbury’s design ethos. We believe homes should be beautiful inside as well as out, and that’s why the Design Centre is our pick this week.
