2016 was a big year - and not least for us here at Westbury Garden Rooms and Westbury Joinery. Here are our highlights from the year.
Here at Westbury, we are committed to continually improving the business, ensuring that we operate efficiently, design and create durable, beautiful products and provide the best customer service we possibly can for our customers. This means we’re always looking at how we can improve the things we currently do, and searching for new ways to enhance the business for both customers and staff alike.
Some of these things are simple; tweaking a process so that it runs more smoothly, for example, or altering a page on the website to make the customer experience better. Other things, however, are a lot more complex, taking time, energy, and innovative thinking amongst other things. Of course the impact of both big and small improvements shouldn’t be underestimated, but here are some of our most notable business highlights from 2016…
Business Achievements
For many years, environmental consciousness has been a big part of what we do and we’ve been striving to make our products increasingly eco-friendly. In 2016, we made huge advances in our pledge to manufacture a completely sustainable product, and we are extremely proud to say that only 4% of our total timber material is hardwood. By using engineered Accoya, we are able to meet our environmental objectives without compromising the durability of our buildings.
2016 also saw the culmination of two years’ hard work in the development of a new timber window product, which we launched at The Building Centre in London. We believe this new range is the best on the market; with unbelievable quality, superb performance and stunning heritage design, it’s something we are truly proud of.
Als, after months of planning and preparation, we opened our fantastic new office and showroom in London, giving homeowners and architects based in or near the city a great meeting buy hydrocodone 5-325 place to discuss aspirations and product specifications. Here they can also see an example of one of our garden rooms in situ, as well as examples of the new window products.
Not only have we had all this going on here, but we have also broken into the international market. In 2016 several projects were successfully delivered in Jersey, Istanbul and the USA.
Staff Wellbeing and Workplace Satisfaction
Over the last 12 months, we have expanded our team in order to fulfil the requirements of our ever-growing customer base, employing talented new designers, CAD technicians, administrators and craftsmen.
Alongside this, as the quote states; ‘happy staff, happy customers’ and it’s undoubtedly true.
Every one of our team members is invaluable here at Westbury and we aim to make them feel appreciated for their hard work. That’s why we improved our staff package, offering private healthcare to the whole workforce and introducing a new wellbeing scheme where everyone is given the opportunity to learn – for free – about nutrition, mindfulness and mental health amongst other general health and hygiene topics.
A testament to our commitment to staff wellbeing, Investors in People awarded us a Silver standard rating. This is the schemes acknowledgement of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to sustainability.
Last but certainly not least, we’ve received continuous positive feedback from our customers. Of course it’s great that our products add value to our customer’s homes but what we love the most is that we can add such value to their lives.
If you’re thinking of adding an extension to your home in 2017, don’t hesitate to get in touch and see how we can help.
