Westbury Conservatories, the Essex-based designer and manufacturer of bespoke garden rooms, orangeries and pool houses has announced a change of company name, to Westbury Garden Rooms effective from 1 November 2011.
The change is a reflection of its understanding of an evolving market place (particularly within bespoke extensions), and marks a significant departure from the company’s beginnings over twenty years ago. Today, Westbury is renowned for its beautiful garden rooms and orangeries, which make up the majority of the company’s business.
Jonathan Hey, managing director, Westbury Garden Rooms said: “It’s quite ironic really because when we started out, over twenty years ago, we were primarily a conservatory company. However, the majority of our business has moved away from the conventional fully glazed conservatory to more bespoke garden rooms, which are much better suited to the UK climate and make much more of a visual impact on a property. Consumers have become increasingly savvy in their searches for a functional living space that adds value to their property and our name change is a way of formally recognising their requirements.”
Factory and machinery investment
The company, which remains privately owned, has also buy raw hydrocodone undergone a major investment programme. This includes investing in the latest joinery profiling machinery, making it one of only three companies in the UK to use this system, and the purchase of a new factory and office complex. These investments are focused towards improving efficiency, increasing capacity, whilst minimising energy usage and reducing the company’s carbon footprint.
This also included relaunching the company website (www.westburygardenrooms.com) to showcase Westbury’s designs, with hundreds of beautiful images helping to inspire its clients and illustrate the diversity of its product range. The company has also launched a second site (www.westburyjoinery.com), dedicated solely to doors, windows and roof lanterns – primarily aimed at the discerning developer and homeowner.
